Curriculum Detail

D.El.Ed. is a diploma level course in the domain of elementary education. This course provides adequate learning and training to teachers to further provide excellent guidance and handling children at the elementary level.

Course Structure of D.El.Ed

D.El.Ed syllabus is divided into two parts: General course and subject disciplines. Syllabus disciplines are further divided into subject content courses and method courses. The subjects of study are designed in such a way that it prepares teachers with a broad knowledge of the subject areas and the latter includes principles for child development, education practice, the study of school pedagogy and the role of a teacher in grooming students.

D.El.Ed. course covers various aspects of elementary teaching, such as teaching skills, historical patterns, some philosophical theories and current classroom trends.

Considering the Act, 2009 – Free and compulsory education for the levels of primary education standard (1st to 5th) and upper primary education (6th to 8th) is structured.

According to this curriculum HSC, D.El.Ed students are appointed as Primary teacher (1st to 5th) and graduate Diploma holder (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. D.El.Ed.) is appointed as upper primary (6th to 8th) teacher. Viewing this, the curriculum is divided into two parts, first year & second year.
